Ychat
Ychat is an AJAX-based instant messaging and group chat application available to registered users for conversation and real-time role-play.
Ychat Mobile
Ychat Mobile is a stripped-down version of Ychat for devices with small screens. It can be accessed through Ychan Mobile (http://ychan.mobi) by clicking on the more features (>) menu and logging in then clicking on the Ychat icon.

Using Ychat
Control Buttons
Ychat has five control buttons, clicking the first three will show or hide their respective menu on the right side of the screen:
- Help - Text command reference.
- Settings - Change a myriad of settings like enabling or disabling emoticons and BBCode formatting.
- Online Users - Show the Online Users menu.
- Sound - Turn on or off the sound theme.
- Autoscroll - Scroll with the text flow or let it overflow.
Online Users
Your User Menu
The user menu has 8 options and is opened by clicking your own name in the Online Users list. The options are:
- Logout - Log out of Ychat.
- List Online Users - Show who is in a given channel.
- List Ignored Users - Show a list of users you have ignored.
- List Available Channels - Show a list of channels you may join.
- Describe Action - See Text Commands below for details.
- Roll Dice - See Text Commands below for details.
- Change Username - See Text Commands below for details.
- Enter Private Room - See Text Commands below for details.
Other Users' Menus
Clicking on another user's name opens a menu with these options:
- Send private message - Send a private message (also referred to as a whisper) to the target user.
- Show user profile - Show the user's Yiffy International profile.
- Show characters - Show the user's role play character summary page.
- Send private action - Send an action as a private message to this user.
- Open private channel - Open a private channel with the selected user.
- Close private channel - Exit from a private channel with the user.
- Invite - Invite a user to another channel.
- Uninvite - Cancel an invitation.
- Ignore/Accept - Ignore or accept text from this user.
- Display channel - Displays the channel the user is currently in.
Text Commands
These commands can be used in the text box to perform useful functions:

Emoticons
Ychat supports a large number of playful graphical emoticons. Simply click on the icon for your desired emotion and the corresponding text emoticon will appear in your text box. Graphical emoticons can be enababled or disabled in the Preferences pane, simply click the Preferences control button.
Formatting
The formatting buttons facilitate the speedy insertion of BBcode formatting tags, used to alter the appearance of your text or even embed a small image.
Styles
Ychat has many different visual styles to pick and choose from, unrelated to the main site's visual themes. Simply click the drop-down menu at the top of the page and select a skin to change Ychat's appearance.

Ychat's internals support several languages and all languages are welcome for use in conversation. Some of the languages Ychat supports are:
